Because 364 is not enough…

About

Welcome to 365 Movies a Year: your source for satirical movie reviews, previews, and news. Due to the name, you might be tempted to think you will be accosted daily with news and reviews of newly released movies. If this is the case, you will likely be sorely dissapointed. Therefore, rather than list the things this blog will deliver, I’m going to go ahead and list the things it will probably not deliver.

  • One movie review per day – I certainly don’t have the time sit on my ass for two+ hours every day watching a movie and still pay the bills.
  • A sensible rating system – I tried this with my last site and failed miserably, mostly due to lack of consistency on my part. However, therein lies the problem with every movie review system. Ebert is  just as likely to give a movie the thumbs down based on his hunger level at the moment, as he is to give it a thumbs up based on any narative or acting merit.
  • Reviews of new releases – Though I will try to catch the occasional new release in the theater, the fact of the matter is I’ll go broke if I hit up the theater more than a few times a month. Therefore, you’ll be getting reviews from my Netflix queue. Hold on a second! Don’t go closing the browser right away, let me explain. How often have you looked up a movie on Netflix and wished there were a more definitive review source than those of the 14 year olds leaving reviews further down the page. From now on, look no further than 365 Movies a Year.
  • Anything else you were hoping to see, but don’t.

Enjoy the site.
